Yes, that is BLUE, not Blues. Although, someone took our Green Bin–but I don’t have the blues about that, the new one will be lighter and smaller.
Actually my new color is –
recycling bin blue. There is something in the quality and angle of sun light right now–the primary blue vibration is visible to me everywhere. Thanks, I think, to the Red Wall! It is so empowering.
What I have, is a shock of color brought on by the combination of a new, loud Red Wall at the screenprint shop, courtesy of Ann Wright Designs. I have just this morning had a massive head-shift, and have a whole new color scheme in my head! See how my blue painting flashes into life ! This painting has a flash of orange along the horizon where the last rays of the sun hit the edge of the mountain and a lensing effect spreads orange light under the clouds— thusly:
I had gone for a literal black trim, white walls, gray floor thing, accenting what was already there, which was safe, but kind of cold, and old. Ann brought over 12 quarts of different shades she thought I would like. Soft lime, mustard, mocha, light yellow, etc. Here’s a photo of what we ended up with.
A technical note- I have my camera in letterbox mode, and I can’t get the photo to format any way but this configuration–whatever it’s called–squeezing the image into a small box.
